Role Description

The ServiceNow Software Developer III designs, develops, and supports enterprise ServiceNow solutions that elevate both employee and customer digital experiences. This role focuses on modernizing user interactions through ServiceNow Workspaces, Employee Center, Service Portals, and Customer Service Management (CSM) solutions while driving automation, operational efficiency, and platform adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee Experience
  • Develop and enhance ServiceNow Workspaces, including Service Operations Workspace (SOW), Agent Workspace, and Next Experience applications.
  • Leverage UI Builder to extend out-of-the-box capabilities and deliver intuitive, role-based workspace experiences.
  • Build and support employee-facing solutions such as Employee Center, Service Portal, Knowledge Management, and self-service capabilities.
• Customer Experience
  • Develop and enhance customer-facing portals, including CSM and Business Portals.
  • Create widgets, portal pages, forms, and digital experiences that improve customer engagement and self-service adoption.
  • Configure and customize CSM, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog capabilities.
• Platform Development & Automation
  • Design and implement workflow automation using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and platform-native capabilities.
  • Develop integrations with enterprise systems using REST APIs and web services.
  • Build and support ServiceNow customizations using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and UI Actions.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging ServiceNow capabilities to continuously improve employee and customer experiences.
• Collaboration and Delivery
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, story estimation, code reviews, testing, demonstrations, and releases.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, maintain technical documentation, and promote development best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow Workspaces, UI Builder, and Next Experience Framework.
• Experience developing Employee Center, Service Portal, CSM Portal, and customer self-service solutions.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
• Experience with ITSM, CSM, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog implementations.
• Strong integration experience using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and web services.
• Experience working in Agile environments with distributed teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with AI platforms, Agentic AI, Generative AI, LLMs, or ServiceNow AI capabilities is a plus.
