[Hiring] Cloud Infrastructure Engineer @Nexiva

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with 4-8 years of experience. This role focuses on building and operating Azure-based platforms with an emphasis on reliability, automation, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for end-to-end systems, deployment processes, and platform reliability, while contributing to architectural decisions and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve new and existing Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and platform services
• Engineer reliable, performant, and cost-efficient cloud systems
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning multiple domains including networking, compute, storage, and security
• Work with platform and operations teams to standardize and mature company's cloud environment
• Develop and maintain observability capabilities to monitor, alert, and troubleshoot systems and processes
• Collaborate with other teams to develop engineering standards and operational processes for the cloud platform
• Support hybrid connectivity models and secure access patterns
• Ensure network designs meet performance and security requirements
• Improve consistency and velocity by developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using reusable modules and standardized deployment patterns
• Partner with development teams to identify and implement Azure capabilities that improve application reliability and operational efficiency
• Apply security best practices across company's cloud infrastructure
• Mentor other engineers to help build skills and capabilities for the future

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of production experience in public cloud, infrastructure, and platform engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and design
• Experience writing and maintaining production automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or similar
• Experience implementing and maintaining observability platforms
• Production experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, or OpenTofu)
• Understanding of cloud security principles (identity, access, network security)
• Familiarity with software development practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD)
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux administration

Preferred

• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipeline
• Azure certifications (AZ-104)
• Experience in hybrid or enterprise cloud environments
• Working knowledge of container technologies
• Experience in manufacturing settings
