Role Description
As a Staff FE Engineer at Natter, you’ll be stepping into a role that offers not only technical challenges but also unparalleled ownership and autonomy to shape the innovative Natter platform.
- Assume a pivotal role in the company’s Engineering team.
- Deliver a robust and scalable architecture to cope with high levels of concurrent users.
- Lead and contribute to architectural discussions for the frontend portion of our application.
- Maintain a high bar for technical excellence in the collective.
- Foster a culture of quality within your collective.
What you’ll be using:
- React & Typescript to write our frontend application code
- Playwright for our end-to-end tests
- Sentry for metrics & monitoring
- Jest, Vitest & React Testing Library for our unit tests
- AWS for our production and staging environments
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience developing robust frontends for a Production environment
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, semantic HTML & CSS
- Deep understanding of ReactJS & Redux
- Experience using WebRTC
- Experience using Sentry or similar app monitoring / telemetry platform
- Experience with Jest or Vitest testing frameworks
- Ability to see through conflicting or unclear priorities
- Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity
- Track record of technical excellence, delivering resilient systems
Requirements
- Previous experience developing high-performant, high-load frontend applications (desirable)
- Experience building & maintaining component libraries (desirable)
- Experience with functional programming (desirable)
- Proficient with cross-browser testing & compatibility (desirable)
- Experience in and enjoyment of early stage/startup environments (desirable)
