Role Description
Avalere Health is seeking a Consultant II with experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), real world evidence (RWE) generation, and/or real-world data analytics to join our Evidence & Strategy practice.
- Manage and conduct RWE and HEOR studies
- Research support including development of study protocol, technical reports, statistical analysis plans, manuscripts, abstracts, etc.
- Interpret quantitative and qualitative study results and convey the results in lay English to a variety of audiences
- Survey research methods and other real-world data collection
- Economic modelling
- Growing subject-matter expertise in HEOR strategy, evidence generation strategy, and value assessment is preferred
The Consultant II, Real World Evidence position will support client engagements that inform business and evidence strategy and deliverables related to real world HEOR generation, data analyses and programming, analysis of patient insights from surveys, evidence strategy, as well as the development and testing of analysis plans and other clinical tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health economics, epidemiology, public health, sciences, business, economics or related fields required
- Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health economics, public policy, data analytics, healthcare management, business administration or relevant discipline preferred
Requirements
- Ability to manage, design, and execute HEOR and RWE studies suitable for peer-review and publishing in academic journals
- Analyze and synthesize research, regulations, health policy, and clinical and other scientific literature
- Synthesize findings into actionable insights relevant to the client
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in HEOR, RWE, and/or epidemiological research
- Strong ability to manage complex projects and teams to consistently deliver high-quality work preferred
Experience Requirements
- 3-6 years’ work experience with prior consulting experience or other relevant work experience
- 1-3 years of managing the day-to-day of multiple HEOR/RWE studies and projects preferred
- Experience should be focused on HEOR, RWE, value, patient journey, epidemiology, or health policy
