Role Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, we are hiring a Software Engineering Manager who will serve as both a people manager and an individual contributor. In this role, you will lead a team of 8-10 software engineers on the OSCAR Pro and Juno platforms. You will oversee day-to-day operations, driving technical excellence, platform stability, and interoperability.

  • Manage the full software development lifecycle—from design and estimation to planning, implementation, testing, documentation, release, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality healthcare software.

This is a remote-first opportunity that supports team members across Canada, with hybrid options available if desired.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading high-performing software development teams.
  • Deep expertise in cloud computing and full-stack development.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring developers.

Requirements

  • Experience across the entire stack, using Angular, React, Java or Kotlin, JUnit, Spring, Hibernate, Node.js, Git, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with data retrieval, storage, and performance optimization in SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with FHIR and healthcare data exchange standards preferred.
