Role Description
As a Lead Developer, you will take a leadership role in the design, development, and delivery of software solutions.
- Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Drive the implementation of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
- Lead the design and development of software applications, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize development tasks and deliverables.
- Break down project requirements into manageable tasks and assign them to team members.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered within timelines and budget constraints.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to establish testing strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and user manuals.
- Document code functionality, APIs, and integrations.
- Promote knowledge sharing within the team and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
- Communicate project status, technical challenges, and solutions to stakeholders and senior management.
- Act as a point of contact for technical discussions and provide insights and recommendations.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development.
- Continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge through self-learning, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in software development processes and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a developer, with a track record of leading software development projects.
- Strong expertise in software development using relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript) and frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Agile, Scrum).
- Strong understanding of web development technologies, databases, and APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with code versioning tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD practices is desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Professional certifications in relevant technologies or project management are advantageous.
