Role Description

This role involves integrating AI-driven pattern detection into Float, specifically through the Resource Recommendation Engine. You will be a key part of the Intelligence Squad, working alongside a technical product manager and other team members to drive innovation.

  • Lead technical viability discussions for the Intelligence squad’s initial deliveries.
  • Develop and test proof-of-concepts for the Resource Recommendation Engine project.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing data to uncover patterns and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain changes to the data streaming pipeline.
  • Lead technical discussions related to optimization, pattern detection, and AI.
  • Develop and implement advanced algorithms to enhance the Resource Recommendation Engine and other product features.
  • Design, implement, and maintain streaming data architecture for real-time data processing and analytics.
  • Establish best practices and standards for optimization, AI, and data engineering development.
  • Mentor and train team members on optimization, AI, and data engineering concepts.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies to incorporate into Float's solutions.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in ML, expert systems, and advanced algorithms (e.g., pattern matching, optimization).
  • Proficient in Python or Java, comfortable with SQL and Javascript/Typescript.
  • Experience with large-scale data pipelines and stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Debezium, Flink).
  • Skilled in data integration, cleaning, and validation.
  • Familiar with vector and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
  • Ability to make independent decisions and seek input when necessary.
  • Strong written communication skills for collaboration in a global team.
  • Effective problem-solving skills balancing immediate needs with long-term extensibility.
  • Active collaboration to improve processes and achieve shared goals.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to take on challenges.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with asynchronous communication and previous remote experience.
  • Experience using tools like Slack, Loom, and Linear for communication.

  • Manager Interview (60 min): Discuss your technical skills with Roberto (Senior Staff Engineer) and Sameet (Senior Application Engineer).
  • Co-Worker Interview (30 min): Meet with Christian (Services Team Lead) and Omar (Senior Application Engineer) to discuss collaboration and communication skills.
  • Founder Interview (30 min): Meet with Lars, Float’s CTO and Co-Founder, to assess your fit for the team.
