Role Description
To take ownership of maintaining and evolving legacy web applications developed in Classic ASP (VBScript). You will work remotely and collaborate directly with a Project Manager based in France.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Classic ASP applications
- Identify and propose technical improvements, refactoring, or partial migrations when relevant
- Analyze and resolve production issues and bugs
- Write clean, well-documented code and perform thorough testing
- Collaborate with the project manager to prioritize and plan tasks
- Take full ownership of development cycles: from analysis to deployment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Classic ASP (VBScript)
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server
- Experience with Windows server environments and IIS
- Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, or PHP is a plus
- Comfortable working with legacy codebases and minimal documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive mindset
- Fluent in English (French is a plus, but not required)
- You are fully autonomous, accountable, and quality-driven
