Role Description
- Perform structural analysis and design of aluminum components, assemblies, and systems
- Optimize aluminum structures for strength, stability, and cost-efficiency
- Conduct load assessments, deflection checks, and failure mode analyses
- Ensure all designs adhere to Australian Standards
- Interpret and apply AU standards accurately
- Utilize Space Gass for finite element analysis (FEA), load combinations, and member design
- Generate clear and accurate reports, calculations, and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to develop and review structural solutions
- Assist in the preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and construction documentation
- Review and validate engineering drawings and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering - focused in aluminum
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards for structural engineering
- Proficiency in Space Gass software (nice to have)
- Familiarity with construction methods and material properties specific to aluminum
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent English communication and collaboration skills
