[Hiring] Specialized Carrier Sales Representative @Alpha Staffing and Recruiting

Role Description

This is a remote position. We are hiring an experienced Specialized Carrier Sales Representative to source, develop, and manage reliable carrier capacity across specialized freight divisions. The ideal candidate will have an established carrier network, strong rate negotiation skills, and experience managing shipments from booking through final delivery.

• Source, qualify, and onboard specialized carriers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owner-operators and fleet managers.
• Negotiate competitive rates while protecting company profit margins.
• Match qualified carriers and appropriate equipment with available shipments.
• Track shipments and provide proactive status updates.
• Verify carrier insurance, safety records, and operating compliance.
• Resolve delays, breakdowns, and other service issues.
• Maintain accurate carrier records and performance data.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in carrier sales, dispatching, freight brokerage, or transportation.
• Experience in at least one of the specialized freight areas listed above.
• An established network of specialized carriers is preferred.
• Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive shipments simultaneously.
• Familiarity with load boards, transportation management systems (TMS), and carrier-vetting tools.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred for Mexico cross-border operations.
