[Hiring] Sales Representative @NORKOL INC

Role Description

You'll manage and grow a book of commercial print accounts, while prospecting for new business. This is a consultative sale, not a transactional one. The customer's production problem is your entry point; the right substrate specification is how you close.

This position is based in the Charlotte, NC area with regular travel across the Southeast territory.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with commercial printers, publishers and industrial buyers across the Southeast
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate grades and roll/sheet configurations
• Manage pricing, quoting, and order coordination in partnership with operations and customer service
• Develop new accounts through cold outreach, referrals, and industry networking
• Stay current on market pricing, mill relationships, and supply availability
• Track activity, pipeline, and account status through our CRM

Qualifications

• Genuinely curious. You ask questions before you pitch. You want to understand how a customer's operation works — what runs on their press, where they lose yield, what keeps their buyer up at night — because that's where the sale actually lives.
• Fast learner and open-minded. You do not need to know every detail of paper and paperboard on day one, but you need to be eager to learn quickly, ask good questions, and absorb feedback from the company, our operations team, and our customers.
• Relationship-driven, not relationship-dependent. You build real connections — and you still pick up the phone when something goes wrong.
• Self-directed. You are motivated from within, manage your own activity, and actively look for new opportunities instead of waiting for them to come to you.
• Resilient under pressure. Supply disruptions, pricing shifts, a competitor undercutting you on a core account — it happens. You stay steady, communicate clearly, and find a path forward without drama.
