Role Description
The Director of Sales & Partnerships will own key revenue-generating relationships across Cherub. This is a hands-on sales role for someone who knows how to identify opportunities, build relationships, create compelling packages, and close. You’ll work across three primary areas: founder sales, sponsorships, and in-kind/strategic partnerships. You should be equally comfortable taking a founder through the Cherub sales process, pitching a brand on a six-figure partnership, and negotiating an in-kind relationship that meaningfully offsets event or community costs. This is not a “strategy-only” role. You will be expected to sell.
What You’ll Own

Build a healthy pipeline of both inbound and outbound sponsorship opportunities.
-
Grow existing partners into larger, longer-term relationships.
-
Strategic + In-Kind Partnerships
-
Source and close strategic and in-kind partners for Cherub events and community experiences.
-
Develop partnerships across hospitality, food and beverage, gifting, beauty, fashion, wellness, travel, and other relevant categories.
-
Structure partnerships that create meaningful value for both Cherub and our partners rather than simply trading logo placement for product.
-
Work closely with marketing, events, and community teams to ensure partnerships are executed at a high level.
-
Sales Operations + Strategy
-
Maintain a clear, accurate pipeline and revenue forecast.
-
Establish sales processes, materials, follow-up cadences, and reporting.

Help build a scalable sales organization as Cherub grows.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, sponsorships, or a related revenue-generating role.
-
A proven closer with a track record of owning and hitting revenue goals.
-
Highly relationship-driven but commercially minded—you know relationships ultimately need to turn into outcomes.
-
Comfortable selling both standardized products and highly customized partnerships.
-
Strong at outbound prospecting and not reliant solely on inbound leads.
-
Excellent communicator who can pitch confidently to founders, executives, brands, and investors.
-
Organized enough to manage a large pipeline without letting opportunities fall through the cracks.
-
Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup.
-
Excited by startups, venture capital, creators, and the future of ownership.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you have built a predictable pipeline across founder revenue and partnerships, consistently closed new business, expanded several partners into larger relationships, and helped turn Cherub’s network and brand into a scalable revenue engine. You don’t just wait for opportunities to come in—you create them.
How We Work
-
We move before we're told to.
-
High agency isn't a perk here, it's the job. We own outcomes, not tasks, and we'd rather you try something and course-correct than wait around for a green light.
-
We're craftspeople.
-
We ship fast and sometimes it's imperfect, but at the end of a hard sprint you should be able to point at what you made and mean it. Generic isn't good enough here.
-
We stay curious.
-
Everything is moving fast: platforms, markets, AI. The best people here are students of their craft whether or not anyone asked them to be.
-
We operate with integrity.
-
No politics, no ego, no blame. We're honest with each other and with the people trusting us with real money and real connections.
-
We earn the trust we're given.
-
This company is small, the mission is big, and every person here carries real weight. We don't micro-manage you. We trust you. Don't make us regret it.
