[Hiring] Sales Account Manager @Mitsubishi Chemical Group

Role Description

• Manages sales in the territory to reach sales, gross profit, volume, penetration targets, and product goals.
• Plans weekly sales itinerary to realize overall sales strategy.
• Services existing accounts, coordinating division’s sales and delivery of products to meet customer needs.
• Involves extensive interaction with customers, Sales Management, CSRs, Technical, Purchasing, Quality, and Finance.
• Resolves problems that occur before, during, or after the sale (e.g., credit, supply issues).
• Monitors competitive situations, including pricing, payment terms, shipment terms, and types of materials handled by competitors.
• Communicates competitive situations to relevant parties.
• Develops and maintains a professional presence in the territory.
• Expands product knowledge through training materials or supplier seminars.
• Enhances sales management skills through training and participation in local professional organizations.
• Gathers information and maintains accurate records regarding customer sales, prospective customers, and competitors.
• Maintains a helpful and friendly working relationship with fellow employees.
• Complies with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Plastics Engineering, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
• Previous experience with a Japanese owned company is a plus.
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in Plastics Distribution Sales or related industry.
• Proven qualifications as a self-motivator, enthusiastic, with time management skills and responsiveness.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently.
• Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Ability to negotiate and build effective relationships.
• Strong project management and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
• Professional, well-groomed appearance and attire is advised.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Work remotely and ability to travel for customer face-to-face meetings, tradeshows, sales meetings, etc.

Benefits

• The salary range for this position is $82,600 - $103,200.
• Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
• This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
