Role Description
Build, lead, and scale a team of enterprise Account Executives selling into Fortune 500 retailers, marketplaces, and travel companies β owning hiring, ramp, coaching, and performance management.
-
Own a regional revenue number: set and deliver against quota, forecast with rigor, and drive predictable pipeline generation and conversion across your team.
-
Coach your AEs through complex, eight-figure sales cycles involving C-suite sponsors, technical evaluation teams, procurement, legal, and security β getting into deals directly when it moves the outcome.
-
Serve as an executive sponsor in strategic pursuits, engaging CTOs, Chief Product Officers, and heads of search and personalization to build conviction and unblock deals.
-
Instrument and run a disciplined sales operation: pipeline reviews, deal inspection, accurate forecasting, and methodology-driven qualification (MEDDPICC or similar) across the region.
-
Partner with marketing, product, forward deployed engineering, and the founding team to align go-to-market motion and feed the field with what it needs to win.
-
Help shape how Sequen lands and grows customers β our playbooks, our deal motion, our territory design, and our go-to-market are still being written, and you'll hold the pen for your region.
-
Develop your team's command of each customer's business β their P&L, surfaces, and KPIs β and raise the bar on the business cases they build to win procurement and arm champions.
Qualifications
-
6+ years managing high-performing enterprise sales teams, with a consistent track record of building and leading AE teams that exceed quota.
-
A personal track record of closing seven-figure (and ideally eight-figure) enterprise deals before moving into leadership.
-
Have sold technical products β infrastructure, ML/AI, data platforms, or similar β and can hold your own, and coach others, in conversations with technical executives and their teams.
-
Have led teams selling and growing Fortune 500 accounts, navigating long cycles with multiple stakeholders, procurement, legal, and security workstreams.
-
A force multiplier: you hire well, ramp reps fast, coach to methodology, and get more out of a team than the sum of its parts.
-
Run a disciplined, data-driven sales operation with rigorous qualification, forecasting, and pipeline management.
-
Bring genuine business acumen and can teach it β how a customer makes money, where the opportunity and pain live in their numbers, and how to build business cases that survive procurement and CFO scrutiny.
-
A builder who wants to shape the playbook and org, not just run one β comfortable creating process, structure, and collateral where none exists.
-
Take full ownership, navigate ambiguity effectively, and proactively overcome obstacles to deliver results.
-
Thrive in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments and have ideally led sales at an early-stage or hypergrowth company.
