[Hiring] Refractive Surgical Consultant @Alcon

Role Description

As a Refractive Surgical Consultant, you will work with the WaveLight suite and any other WaveLight consumables or disposables. You will collaborate with Account Managers and the Refractive team to ensure a smooth sales process and product knowledge post-sale covering the East region.

• Regional on-label post-install sales support and technical selling for WaveLight® products, with an emphasis on premium procedural selling.
• Branded products include: WaveLight® Excimer, WaveLight® Femto, Contoura, Wavelight Plus, and all related Wavelight consumables/disposables.
• Work closely with Wavelight Managers (WM), Division Manager (DM), and Refractive team to optimize sales initiatives, product adoption, and goals.
• Ability to consult with physician/surgeon, key opinion leaders (KOLs), key customer decision makers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge on key existing and new surgical products.
• Accountable for assigned sales objectives for the region.
• Responsible for Management Business Objectives (MBOs) assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs).
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience.

Requirements

• Advanced Ophthalmic surgical/technical skills and knowledge.
• A demonstrated track record of proven sales achievements is highly preferred.
• Experience consulting in an Operating Room (OR) setting.
• Experience consulting with Refractive technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Refractive diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
