[Hiring] Outside Sales Representative @Legacy Utility Group

Role Description

We’re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base across construction, utility, and municipal markets. This is more than a quota-carrying role. This role nurtures current customer relationships, identifies growth opportunities, and implements project proposals that support our diverse clients' needs. You’ll own your territory strategy, build lasting client relationships, and work closely with our operations and project management teams to deliver results!

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and win new business in the commercial construction, utility, and municipal markets through cold calling, networking, and referrals
• Build and execute a strategic territory plan to meet or exceed revenue goals
• Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients through meetings, presentations, and site visits
• Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts tailored to each client’s needs
• Partner with operations and project management to ensure smooth service delivery
• Keep CRM records accurate and up to date, and use pipeline data to guide your strategy and forecasts
• Research and analyze industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required
• 3 years of outside sales experience in heavy civil, engineering, or construction; knowledge of excavation, inspection, or utility services preferred
• Proven track record of growing territory sales through account expansion and new business, with strong sales forecasting skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with an ambitious, self-motivated, team-oriented approach
• The ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and handle multiple priorities
• A safety-first mindset on job sites and in every client interaction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 75% with a company vehicle in varying weather conditions

Requirements

• Pay starting at $60,000 + commission. Base pay is commensurate with experience.
• Location: Remote, Central Texas
