[Hiring] Market Manager @Airbnb

Role Description

As a Market Manager, you will play a crucial role in the retention, growth, and optimization of host entrepreneurs and professional hosts in your assigned territory. You will focus on building strong relationships with these hosts, helping them optimize their listings, improve pricing strategies, and enhance their overall success on Airbnb.

As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for the growth of a book of business in your assigned territories by managing professional host accounts and supply acquisition of high-quality inventory. You will build Airbnb’s strong market presence in your assigned region in collaboration with other teams as the local in-market expert.

Your typical day will include:

• Building and managing partner relationships within assigned territory
• Directly managing accounts to meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales goals
• Analyzing data and utilizing data-driven recommendations to identify and action on strategic opportunities in your region to drive an increase in sales
• Prospecting and onboarding new, high-quality supply in your assigned geography
• Maintaining a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software partners to provide the right support to your clients
• Representing Airbnb in external meetings with Professional Hosts and at industry conferences in your market
• Educating clients on all significant product changes and cascading feedback on product and policy to relevant internal stakeholders
• Holding regular optimization calls and business reviews with your partners
• Developing strong and long-lasting partnerships
• Developing deep knowledge of your assigned geographic markets
• Responding to and delivering exceptional service to your professional hosts in a timely and efficient manner
• Working cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy, and customer support teams

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in new sales, account management, and partner support
• 2+ years of tech/travel industry experience is a plus
• Proven track record of effectively managing a leads pipeline and a book of business
• Proficient quantitative skills and proven ability to interpret and apply data
• Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels
• Proven experience working cross-functionally
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Charismatic self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient
• Highly proficient in using CRM software, specifically Salesforce
• Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy

Requirements

• Must be based in Washington or California
• Willing to regularly travel to your assigned territory, typically once every quarter

Benefits

• Base pay range: $111,000 — $123,000 USD
• Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits
