[Hiring] Light Commercial Sales General Manager @Carrier

Role Description

At Carrier, we currently have an exciting opportunity in the Texas/South Central region for a self-directed and results-oriented Channel Manager. This position has responsibility for driving Light Commercial (LCML) HVAC sales and margin growth through our distributors. Regions included in the territory are South/Central/Eastern Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

As a Light Commercial Sales General Manager, you will:

• Lead Carrier’s established distribution customers.
• Oversee distribution channel management activities and ensure short to medium term objectives and goals are met.
• Develop distribution channel management plans in support of the discipline and influence leadership on critical distribution channel management sales strategies.
• Represent the company's interests and build business relationships to enhance sales performance of Carrier’s light commercial products.

This role serves South/Central/Eastern Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Job location base is flexible within that area given proximity to a metropolitan airport.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact with the highly visible / valuable distribution and channel management teams and/or strategic prospects.
• Establish action plans and sales targets for each territory and review progress with local sales management on a regular basis.
• Partner with sales channel to identify and sell sizeable light commercial opportunities.
• Identify and visit key customers and determine sales strategy to obtain their business.
• Provide regular updates to Carrier's senior management on performance of assigned territories, sales channels and initiatives.
• Collaborate across Carrier functions and business divisions to identify replacement opportunities and upcoming projects with existing customers.
• Work with marketing to identify Carrier product strengths vs competition and implement plans and communication to capitalize.
• Aggressively manage performance of distribution channels for driving Light Commercial products.
• Establish an ongoing and integrated set of metrics to measure the success of the enterprise in successfully growing sales volume and margin.
• Engage sales channel principals in regularly planned assessments regarding performance, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Generate positive enthusiasm and excitement in the marketplace for the Carrier light commercial HVAC portfolio.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience working in the HVAC industry.
• 5+ years of sales experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience working in the HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated sales experience.
• Experience in Commercial Applied HVAC.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
