Role Description

The Inside Sales Rep meets our customers’ business and personal needs by helping classified advertising clients efficiently place advertising in our products. This role involves:

• Providing accurate advertising processing and placement in our products while delivering superb customer service.
• Answering inbound calls and emails from advertisers seeking information about placing classified advertising in our publications.
• Assisting customers in placing advertising in our products via our self-service portal or by sending proofs, releasing approved ads, and processing prepayments.
• Knowing and adhering to all publication deadlines and effectively communicating those deadlines to customers.
• Quickly toggling between applications and confidently navigating the ad-order entry system.
• Recommending relevant product offerings and packages to customers.
• Working with customers by answering questions, researching and resolving issues, and troubleshooting technical problems.
• Developing professional, long-term relationships with customers.
• Ensuring that customers have a positive, seamless experience working with you.
• Helping customers locate ads online and in print.
• Documenting all customer transactions accurately in accordance with company policy.
• Meeting and maintaining all individual and team performance standards established by the department.
• Attending scheduled product and system training sessions.
• Sharing ideas to improve business practices and team workflows.
• Working toward revenue goals through positive influence, individual interaction, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Providing best-in-class customer support to both new and existing accounts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with a courteous, clear phone presence.
• Ability to quickly learn and retain comprehensive product knowledge.
• Positive, people-oriented, and energetic approach to customer service.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Typing skills: Minimum 45 WPM.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work respectfully with coworkers and leadership.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: sales, customer service, telemarketing, call center operations, or classified advertising.
