Role Description

This newly created position will lead all business development initiatives for Keypath Education’s new stand-alone clinical placement services. The Vice President will be responsible for developing the strategy, planning, selling, and contract negotiation/execution with prospective university and other consumer partners.

  • Produce compelling presentations and carry credibility with senior audiences
  • Work directly with members of our senior leadership team to earn the trust of university and other industry leaders
  • Research and identify compelling data on clinical placement services, universities, and other potential consumers to create sales presentations
  • Leverage a curious approach to thoroughly understand consumer challenges and identify innovative solutions
  • Enlist time and expertise from Keypath colleagues to assist with various stages of the sales process
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to build trust and foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders
  • Organize and lead the development of proposal strategies that focus on Keypath Education’s financial positioning, product offerings, and value in the higher education marketplace
  • Leverage the expertise of internal partners to support building the brand messaging
  • Collaborate creatively to differentiate Keypath's services in a competitive market
  • Develop and drive key objectives and alignment between potential partners and Keypath Education
  • Work closely with senior leadership to build the marketing plan
  • Negotiate business terms to establish mutually beneficial partner agreements
  • Manage partner relationships throughout the lifecycle of identification/discovery, enablement, support, and go-to-market
  • Communicate and make formal presentations to senior-level audiences within the higher education sector
  • Conduct a needs analysis and explain features of services, costs, and advantages to new clients
  • Work with prospective and existing clients to determine needs and develop the appropriate sales strategy
  • Keep Sales CRM data current; provide summaries of strategy calls and onsite visits
  • Manage the proposal process by coordinating with appropriate areas of the organization
  • Contribute to the overall success of the business as a key member of the leadership team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of a successful, demonstrable record of accomplishment in business development
  • Experience with selling into Higher Education sector
  • Experience selling into complex environments
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with developing and structuring agreements to support Keypath Education and partner objectives
  • Experience with fee-for-service business development initiatives
  • Ability to create business development strategies; write effective proposals; and establish cooperative working relationships
  • Exceptional at building and nurturing relationships, fostering trust, and strengthening connections with clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation skills paired with adaptability to navigate challenges
  • Results-oriented professional with strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated success working independently while managing concurrent activities
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savviness to leverage tools like CRM platforms for strategic decision-making
  • Ability to travel as needed

Requirements
