Role Description

This role involves managing sales strategies and client relationships to drive revenue growth in the fire alarm industry.

  • Implement the organisation's sales strategy into a targeted, actionable plan tailored to designated customers and territory.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion in multiple market verticals.
  • Develop and execute plans to penetrate new market segments and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the US and Canada, emphasizing strategic growth and revenue enhancement.
  • Utilize value-based selling to align client needs with product offerings, ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Work with the marketing team to provide market insights for launching marketing activities to acquire targeted leads.
  • Leverage strategic account management experience to qualify and convert leads into key accounts to expand market share.
  • Develop deep expertise in the fire alarm industry to position products as tailored solutions for diverse client needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing clients with strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts for the USA and Canada, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize sales strategies and ensure successful execution.
  • Influence customers’ sales teams, product management, and strategic purchasing departments to prioritize products over competitors.
  • Monitor market dynamics, including competitor activities, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales opportunities and manage customer interactions, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales role, including strategic account management, preferably in the fire industry.
  • Proven success in B2B selling.
  • Experience in industrial safety is a plus.
  • Proven success in acquiring and developing new clients into key accounts.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills; knowledge of NFPA codes and standards is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relationship selling and influencing client decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to travel up to 50% as necessary.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office suite, and collaboration tools.
