Role Description

The Jr. National Account Manager (Jr. NAM) will manage a defined portfolio of Retail and Distribution accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. This role is responsible for crafting and executing growth strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals, and maximizing sales opportunities through various channels of engagement.

  • Account Management:
    • Serve as the main liaison, in partnership with manufacturer rep agencies, between ASC Engineered Solutions and assigned distributors, ensuring clear and consistent communication
    • Develop deep understanding of each distributor's business model, performance metrics, market position, and growth opportunities
    • Own Customer Data Files – Collaborate internally to complete requests in a timely manner for product information, images, pricing, etc.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at distributor organizations – corporate and field
    • Communicate opportunities throughout ASC and Rep Agencies while holding stakeholders accountable to delivering on the growth activity initiatives
  • Growth Strategy Development:
    • Design and implement customized growth strategies tailored to each distributor’s core customer, unique needs and market conditions
    • Identify opportunities for product expansion, increased market penetration, and revenue growth within the distributor channel
    • Collaborate with distributors to create joint business plans that outline objectives, key initiatives, and success metrics
    • Coordinate trade shows and field activation activities to drive brand awareness and sales pull-through with your key customers.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Analyze sales data, market trends, and distributor performance to identify areas of improvement and success
    • Provide regular performance updates and actionable insights to both internal teams, rep agencies, and distributor partners to drive action
    • Forecast sales and track progress against growth targets
    • Review and manage account programming to deliver profitable account revenue
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with internal sales, rep agencies, customer service, marketing, and product teams to ensure distributor needs are met and aligned with company objectives
    • Support distributors with training, marketing resources, and tools to drive their success
    • Resolve issues and address challenges proactively to maintain strong relationships and achieve mutual goals
    • Responsible for Supply Chain collaborative planning & forecasting process
    • Support Director of National Accounts – MRO in daily activities & operational execution
  • Market Analysis & Insights:
    • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide strategic guidance to distributors
    • Share market insights with internal teams to influence product development and overall strategy
    • Understand market pricing and where ASC is positioned with each customer in regards to market and competition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in account management, sales, or business development, preferably with distributors or channel partners
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies that deliver measurable results
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in interpreting sales data and market trends
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with CRM tools, Power BI, Microsoft suite of products, and sales forecasting systems
  • Willingness to travel as required to build and maintain relationships with distributors, estimated at 30%

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD annually
  • The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this role. ASC Engineered Solutions’ philosophy on compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.
