Role Description
As a Business Development Officer, you’ll focus on developing new business opportunities by offering Alliance Association Bank’s industry specific banking services and products to the Community Association Industry. The primary focus of this position is to develop new business opportunities, while servicing existing clients.
- Cold calling and establishing new business opportunities
- Providing sales presentations
- Attending industry trade show events
- Marketing to prospects via phone/email/in-person visits
- Following-up with existing clients on customer service items
- Performing light administrative tasks
- Promoting and educating existing clients and future clients on products and services offered through Western Alliance Bank
- 75% travel mostly throughout an assigned territory and additional travel for annual conferences and training segments
- Supporting the director in meeting deposit and lending goals
- Continuing to grow existing client relationships and cross-sell products and services
- Identifying and cold calling prospective clients to develop new relationships
- Attending industry events including exhibiting at trade shows and attending luncheons
- Being an active member of the local Community Association Institute (CAI) Chapter
- Attending association board meetings and national events
- Effectively communicating banking services via email, letters, demonstrations, presentations, and conversations
- Liaison between the AAB operations team and the clients as needed
- Ensuring clients are receiving necessary service levels and troubleshooting their issues and/or concerns
- Working closely with their manager and periodically reviewing key performance indicators
- Preparing and submitting new client forms and updating existing client forms
- Participating in remote training and attending remote sales meetings
- Managing marketing, entertainment, and advertising expenses (within budget guidelines)
- Running sales ads in trade publications
- Completing mailings/emailing campaigns
- Marketing and soliciting loans to community associations
- Collecting and submitting required underwriting material
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Five (5) years of Outside Sales, Banking or HOA/Community Association experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
- May require up to 75% travel
Requirements
- Salary range for new hires is generally $107,000.00 - $126,000.00 for District of Columbia
- Salary amount is determined by specific job location
