Role Description

We are seeking a ServiceNow Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the reliability, performance, and functional accuracy of ServiceNow platform solutions throughout the development lifecycle. Embedded within a DevOps team, this role combines manual testing expertise with automated testing capabilities to help deliver high-quality ServiceNow releases efficiently. The QA Analyst will work closely with developers, administrators, and business stakeholders to define test strategies, execute test plans, identify defects, and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow platform testing.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Strong understanding of ITIL service management processes and ServiceNow ITSM functionality.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript sufficient to read and assess ServiceNow scripts.

Requirements

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) covering UI flows, business rules, integrations, and regression scenarios.
• Validate functional requirements against delivered solutions and identify defects.
• Work with development teams to drive defect resolution.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing across ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and other ServiceNow modules.
• Integrate ATF test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates before production deployment.
• Review Update Set contents, Flow Designer flows, and script changes for testability, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Manage defects throughout the complete lifecycle using Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
• Provide clear and reproducible defect documentation.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow Database Developers and platform administrators to validate data migrations, transform maps, and import sets.
• Support ServiceNow platform upgrade and patch validation activities.
• Execute upgrade readiness testing plans.
• Produce QA metrics, dashboards, and release readiness reports for stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Provide quality-focused input throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in platform upgrade cycles, scheduled maintenance windows, and release activities.
