Role Description

Client is scaling rapidly and needs Technical Program Managers to shepherd a growing portfolio of customer purchase orders and production orders from intake through delivery. Each order carries its own deliverables, specs, and point of contact — this role is part project manager, part account owner, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks as the client serves an expanding base of aerospace, defense, and industrial customers. This is currently the client's #1 hiring priority, with a path to grow into technical sales, account management, or program leadership as the team scales.

• Own a portfolio of customer purchase orders / production orders end-to-end, tracking each order's deliverables, timeline, and specs to on-time completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers on order status, changes, and delays — providing concierge-level service.
• Gather and track customer requirements and compliance/qualification matrices; translate between customer needs and internal manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Communicate fluently in manufacturing vocabulary (production orders, part geometry, material systems) without requiring deep engineering expertise.
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and scheduling teams to keep orders moving through production.
• Manage a caseload of roughly 8–10 accounts/orders (scope may flex based on order complexity).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or another highly regulated, requirements-driven industry.
• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent stakeholders, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident speaking directly with customers.
• Working familiarity with manufacturing or engineering terminology (can be learned on the job, but prior exposure is a plus).

Requirements

• Experience with government or defense programs, mil-specs, or formal compliance/requirements standards.
• Background that could extend into technical sales or account management over time.
