Role Description

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Futuro Health’s portfolio of initiatives and grant-funded programs. This leadership role involves working closely with internal teams, external partners, and funders to ensure program goals are met, budgets are managed, and grant requirements are fulfilled. The Program Director will lead the execution of key projects that align with Futuro Health’s mission and contribute to the growth of Futuro Health’s impact.

  • Lead and manage the execution of both initiatives and grant-funded programs from start to finish, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, external commitments, and grant objectives.
  • Develop work plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure efficient program delivery.
  • Coordinate internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners to drive the successful execution of programs.
  • Troubleshoot implementation challenges and provide solutions to ensure continued program success.
  • Ensure that all grant-funded programs comply with funder regulations, financial guidelines, and terms, while striving to position Futuro Health as a leader in the field.
  • Prepare timely progress reports for funders, detailing project status, financials, and outcomes.
  • Work closely with the finance team to track and manage program budgets, ensuring responsible financial oversight and optimal use of grant funds.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of grant-funded activities, ensuring full transparency and accountability.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff and consultants, fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure program integration with broader organizational initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community members, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Develop strategies for evaluating program outcomes and measuring impact.
  • Regularly assess program effectiveness using data to inform decision-making and improve future programming.
  • Collect and analyze data on program performance, sharing insights with senior leadership to drive improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of new grant proposals and funding opportunities to ensure program sustainability and growth.
  • Identify areas for program improvement and make recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, and new funding opportunities to support program impact and expansion.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in program management in healthcare workforce development, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing grant-funded programs, including writing, implementation, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to foster collaboration and build effective relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and project management software.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven success in managing multiple large-scale, grant-funded programs, with demonstrated expertise in compliance, reporting and producing outcomes.
  • Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex partnerships.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and impact measurement tools to evaluate program outcomes.

  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, or nationally as needed.

  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, if required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nonprofit management, economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred in business, healthcare administration, public health, or equivalent field experience.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position will supervise staff, teams of staff, and cross functional teams. This position will involve overseeing consultants as needed.

Work Environment/Travel

  • This is a remote role. Travel will also be required to attend meetings and conferences.

Physical Demands

  • Able to sit, stand, and use technology for extended periods of time.
  • Travel for site visits, meetings, conferences, or community outreach. This may involve walking, standing, and navigating various environments.

Position Type

  • This position is full-time, exempt. Hours may be irregular and include weekends, nights, and holidays.
