Role Description
This role involves managing the Operations (Reservations) Team in Düsseldorf, Germany, for a growing Travel Management Company specializing in the charity, academic, and not-for-profit sectors.
- Ensure a constant focus on quality of service across the team and maintain high customer service standards.
- Manage teams to exceed targets and standards through coaching, supporting development, and addressing underperformance.
- Act as the first point of escalation for price matching, customer issues, or feedback, investigating and resolving issues while seeking opportunities for procedural improvements.
- Identify training needs of team members and collaborate with L&D to provide necessary support.
- Manage team workload throughout the day to maximize productivity and achieve SLAs.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Exhibit a “lead by example” work ethic to drive first-class customer service from the reservations department.
Qualifications
- Team Manager / Team Leader / Assistant Team Manager experience in a fast-paced TMC / travel industry environment.
- Good GDS knowledge; Amadeus/Galileo preferable but cross-training can be undertaken.
- Strong experience with nett fares, including airpasses and RTW fares preferable.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and prioritize workload.
- Ability to plan current and future workloads.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
