Role Description

This role involves working as a Technical Product Analyst to improve healthcare outcomes, particularly in the autism therapy space.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for new features and product improvements.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure clarity and alignment of requirements with product goals.
  • Manage and optimize JIRA backlog tickets, ensuring they are clearly defined, acceptance criteria are testable, and edge cases are considered, before they go into development.
  • Assist in answering functionality questions for both bugs and new features, working to clarify issues early and minimize back-and-forth between teams.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to validate features and identify edge cases.
  • Investigate and document bugs by testing system functionality, mapping out current behavior, and identifying discrepancies between expected vs. actual outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to provide clear, structured bug reports, reducing back-and-forth by ensuring tickets include reproducible steps and relevant details.
  • Document user stories, process flows, and feature details to ensure clarity for the development team.
  • Support QA processes, including defining test cases and ensuring in-depth testing to uphold quality standards.
  • Answer product-related questions from internal team members, providing clarity on functionality and making sure requirements are well-understood by both business and technical teams.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to provide insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst (or related role) in a software development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (preferred).
  • QA experience (preferred).

Requirements

  • Deeply passionate about improving healthcare outcomes, particularly in the autism therapy space.
  • Keen eye for detail and excel in breaking down complex ideas into clear, testable requirements.
  • Enjoy testing product functionality and ensuring it meets expectations before release.
  • Proactive approach to investigating issues, considering edge cases.
  • Experience at the intersection of technology and healthcare, ideally within SaaS or related tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring business goals, user needs, and quality assurance are prioritized.
  • Understanding of user experience principles and effective collaboration with UI/UX teams.
  • Highly organized and thrive when juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to analyze different user journeys to identify pain points and develop thoughtful, data-driven solutions.
  • Build meaningful relationships across teams, collaborating effectively to drive impactful results.
