Role Description

As a Senior Director, Business Operations, your work at Tegria will focus on leading Tegria’s global healthcare IT consulting operations, setting direction for operational processes, resource management, utilization, forecasting, and performance. You will connect sales demand, consultant capacity, and delivery needs to support effective resource deployment, healthy engagement margins, and profitable growth. You will own the global operating model and the effectiveness of resource management and utilization, lead the operational integration of acquired businesses, and partner with various leaders to establish consistent processes, reliable data, and clear accountability across regions and service lines.

• Setting direction for Tegria’s global business operations function and executing an operational roadmap aligned with business priorities, growth plans, financial objectives, and delivery needs.
• Serving as a trusted operational advisor to the Chief Strategy Officer and executive leaders, translating performance, capacity, and demand information into practical recommendations and decisions.
• Owning and evolving a global operating model connecting sales pipeline, demand forecasting, capacity planning, resource deployment, engagement operations, and performance reporting.
• Leading operational integration of acquired businesses, identifying process gaps, aligning responsibilities, and implementing consistent ways of working.
• Owning the global resource-management function, including demand and capacity planning, staffing coordination, bench management, roll-offs, extensions, and pipeline-to-assignment processes.
• Partnering with Finance and business leaders to establish utilization targets by role, practice, and region.
• Establishing regular reviews of available and upcoming consultant capacity against project demand.
• Ensuring each benched consultant has an actionable plan, and partnering with Sales and staffing leadership.
• Ensuring qualified internal capacity is evaluated before external hiring or subcontracting.
• Partnering with Finance on revenue and capacity forecasting, engagement margin analysis, and financial implications of resource decisions.
• Defining and monitoring operational measures, translating data into executive insights, risks, and recommended actions.
• Leading, coaching, and developing Business Operations professionals.
• Delegating daily execution, removing barriers, and holding owners accountable.
• Partnering with system owners and technology leaders to improve workflows and evaluate analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Partnering with Talent, People & Culture, Delivery, and Finance leaders to connect available capacity and forecasted demand.
• Performing other generally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, information systems, or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or a related professional certification preferred.
• Typically 12 or more years of progressive experience in business operations, delivery operations, or resource management, including at least five years in leadership roles.
• Experience leading operations and resource management in consulting, professional services, healthcare technology, IT services, or a similarly complex environment; healthcare IT consulting experience preferred.
• Experience owning resource-management and utilization improvement efforts, including demand forecasting, capacity planning, consultant deployment, and bench management.
• Experience formally leading and developing operational professionals and advising executives on operational priorities and resource decisions.
• Experience leading across regions or global teams; onshore, nearshore, or offshore delivery model and acquisition integration experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of professional-services economics, resource management, and demand and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of CRM, PSA, workforce, and analytics platforms, such as Salesforce, Kantata, Certinia, Workday, and Power BI.
• Ability to lead and develop a team and to communicate complex operational issues clearly to executives and business leaders.
• Ability to work independently on highly complex matters with extensive latitude for judgment while maintaining alignment with enterprise goals.
• Reliable internet access with sufficient speed to perform the job satisfactorily, and a secure, private remote office space.
• W2 project-based consultants will be expected to provide a computing device that adheres to industry standards and security best practices.
