Role Description

The Director of Operations manages all operations excellence and operations support initiatives for their respective region. This position works collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple areas of the business including:

• New and ongoing training support initiatives
• New site processing and existing site acquisition with development
• Operational excellence assessment review support
• Sales and financial analysis and reporting
• Equipment distribution coordination and similar activities

This role supervises the franchise business consultant activities under their assigned area, promoting their development and the franchisees they serve.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Fostering close relationships with franchisees within the assigned area.
• Consulting on franchisees’ needs and promoting ideas for growth in sales, store count, PSA, and proper resource allocation.
• Hiring, training, and supervising the field team of franchise business consultants.
• Maintaining open dialogue with franchisees, colleagues, and vendors.
• Conducting effective weekly meetings with the assigned team.
• Communicating changes in policy and new operations procedures to direct reports and franchisees.
• Keeping supervisors informed of all pertinent issues and opportunities within the business.
• Providing directions to franchise business consultants to ensure company quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Encouraging high levels of team spirit and setting a positive example.
• Traveling within the region as required to ensure successful restaurant operations.
• Ensuring timely reporting from all operations staff.
• Assisting with the franchisee approval process and ensuring new store openings are properly executed.
• Analyzing data and trends related to operational excellence and compliance issues.
• Working closely with research and development to implement new products and procedures.
• Providing input into department budget and monitoring variance explanations.
• Counseling franchisees on operational excellence, people culture, and training issues.
• Evaluating franchisee operations and allocating required resources.
• Developing materials, creating presentations, and facilitating training.
• Skilled at public speaking and influencing through storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent leadership experience.
• Minimum of five years' experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong relationship, team building, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated planning, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to understand directions, instructions, and product specifications.
• Ability to travel by airplane and/or automobile.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Computer knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Little Caesars operational experience.
• Multi-unit restaurant management or franchise management experience.
• Point of Sale system experience.
• Fiscal responsibility.

Where You’ll Work

• Remote position, working outside of the office a minimum of 50% of the time.
• Works a minimum of five days per week, may include weekends and evening hours.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Works effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
