[Hiring] Senior Leader (Managing Director or Partner) @Leo Berwick

Role Description

Leo Berwick is hiring a Senior Leader (Managing Director or Partner) to build and scale our power, utilities, and renewables practice, one of our core sectors. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role for someone with deep industry expertise in power, utilities, or renewables, paired with technology and/or data depth. You will lead technology diligence and data and AI value creation initiatives for PE sponsors and infrastructure funds investing in the energy and infrastructure space.

We’re looking for someone with 10–15+ years of experience, built at a technology consultancy, a boutique advisory firm, or as an operator in industry. You should be ready to build and sell a practice, not just deliver within one. Experience in technology consulting and M&A is an asset, but sector credibility and technical depth come first.

In this leadership role, you will have defined responsibilities and a focus area, and you will also be part of the leadership team, exposed to all aspects of building and growing the business and contributing well beyond your own practice.

Qualifications

• Power, Utilities & Renewables Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience serving clients in renewables, power generation, or utilities.
• Technical Depth: Experience in architecture reviews and assessing target technology environments.
• Active Technology Practitioner: Built software or data solutions in your career.
• Data & AI Depth: Expertise in designing and executing AI use cases and conducting AI impact assessments.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Experience assessing cybersecurity and compliance risk.
• Experience Level: 10–15+ years of relevant experience in a leadership role.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to originate and grow business.
• Team & Client Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams and building trust with senior executives.

Requirements

• Experience in technology consulting and M&A is an asset.
• Considered an Asset: Technology M&A & Consulting Experience.
• PE or Fund-Facing Experience: Advising private equity firms, infrastructure funds, or corporate acquirers is preferred.
• Location: Remote-first role based anywhere in North America; travel required across North America.
