Role Description

Seek to improve the patientβs experience through warm, empathetic, and professional phone communication while prioritizing participant safety.

Conduct outbound phone calls to prospective participants to support recruitment and enrollment efforts for active clinical research projects.

Follow up with enrolled study participants on reported symptoms and maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.

Monitor and assist patients with e-diary completion, following up promptly on missed entries or technical questions.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, study participants, clinical teams, and project stakeholders.

Build effective working relationships with internal teams and research staff to ensure smooth study recruitment and participant retention.

Ensure data integrity and record detailed patient information accurately within tracking systems and electronic tools.

Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), participant privacy regulations (HIPAA), and relevant protocol guidelines.

Appropriately communicate and escalate patient concerns or protocol deviations to clinical leads and project managers.

Demonstrate thoughtfulness around the immediate impact of your outreach on clinical trial recruitment and retention.

Demonstrate core values by fostering teamwork, collaboration, and a high standard of communication in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent clinical credential/training required.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and hands-on clinical experience in a healthcare setting (medical office, clinic, or hospital environment).

Prior clinical research experience is not required, but a strong interest in clinical trial outreach and patient communication is essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with an empathetic and professional phone demeanor.

High comfort level utilizing electronic documentation tools, digital diaries, and remote communication platforms.
Requirements

This position operates in a 100% remote home-office environment.

Requires a quiet, private workspace with high-speed internet to ensure HIPAA compliance and clear phone communication.

The employee will regularly sit, speak on the phone, and use hands/fingers to type, handle, or feel computer controls and peripherals.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus for computer screen work.

This is a 100% remote role with no travel required.
