Role Description

As an Independent Prescriber, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care through a secure digital healthcare platform. Working remotely as part of our clinical services team, you'll:

• Review and assess asynchronous patient consultations through a secure Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
• Assess patient eligibility for treatment in line with established clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Safely prescribe treatments across multiple clinical service areas, including Weight Management.
• Request additional patient information where necessary to support safe prescribing decisions.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date patient records.
• Manage your workload effectively to meet patient demand and agreed rota requirements.
• Provide appropriate clinical advice and guidance, including support with medication side effects.
• Complete Patient Safety Incident (PSI) reports when required.
• Participate in team meetings, clinical audits and ongoing professional development.
• Identify and escalate clinical or operational concerns to support continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with a recognised Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Own private professional indemnity insurance.
• Experience in telemedicine and/or protocol-led prescribing.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Confidence working with multiple IT systems and digital platforms.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Previous experience prescribing GLP-1 medications (desirable).
• Experience working within digital healthcare or remote clinical services (desirable).
