Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Home Health Chargemaster and Coding Subject Matter Expert (SME) to perform a comprehensive audit of Home Health and Hospice coding practices, chargemaster configuration, and reimbursement processes. The consultant will:

• Evaluate current coding and charge capture methodologies
• Identify revenue leakage opportunities
• Assess compliance risks
• Provide actionable recommendations to optimize reimbursement while maintaining regulatory compliance

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in:

• Home Health and Hospice coding
• Chargemaster maintenance
• Reimbursement methodologies
• Healthcare revenue cycle operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Relevant healthcare, HIM, nursing, finance, or healthcare administration background preferred

Requirements

• 7+ years of Home Health and/or Hospice coding experience
• 5+ years of chargemaster management or maintenance experience
• Extensive knowledge of Home Health and Hospice reimbursement methodologies
• Experience conducting coding audits and revenue cycle assessments
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
• Experience identifying reimbursement improvement opportunities
• Experience working with Home Health and Hospice operational workflows
