Role Description

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced oncology and haematology clinicians with strong expertise in clinical-trial evaluation, safety and efficacy assessment, CTCAE grading, disease-specific response criteria, benefit-risk analysis, medical monitoring, and regulatory clinical documentation to contribute to an advanced AI training and healthcare evaluation project. Selected professionals will review complex clinical-trial materials, assess oncology and haematology efficacy and safety conclusions, and provide structured written rationales grounded in clinical guidelines and trial evidence. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Trial, Efficacy & Response Evaluation
    • Review oncology and haematology trial findings, Clinical Study Reports, protocols, and related regulatory materials
    • Evaluate endpoints including ORR, DoR, PFS, OS, and MRD
    • Assess whether statistical findings support clinically meaningful conclusions
    • Apply RECIST, Lugano, IMWG, IWCLL, ELN, or other relevant disease-specific response criteria
    • Identify inconsistent, unsupported, or clinically implausible interpretations
  • Safety, Dose & Benefit-Risk Assessment
    • Apply CTCAE grading and assess adverse-event attribution and clinical significance
    • Evaluate dose escalation, dose-limiting toxicities, dose modifications, and treatment-management decisions
    • Review safety narratives and emerging safety information for clinical coherence
    • Assess benefit-risk conclusions as efficacy and safety evidence evolves
    • Distinguish genuine clinical concerns from legitimate variation in medical judgement
  • Medical Monitoring & Regulatory Review
    • Review investigator brochures, CSRs, safety narratives, DSMB/IDMC materials, and regulatory correspondence
    • Apply medical-monitoring and clinical-development judgement to patient- and programme-level decisions
    • Identify discrepancies across clinical, safety, and regulatory evidence
    • Evaluate complex or ambiguous cases requiring committee-level or adjudication-style reasoning
    • Provide clear, structured explanations suitable for clinical and non-clinical audiences

Qualifications

  • Specialist registration or board certification in medical oncology and/or haematology
  • 5+ years of post-training clinical experience
  • Direct experience as a clinical-trial investigator or sub-investigator, or in sponsor-side medical monitoring, safety, or clinical development
  • Strong proficiency with CTCAE grading
  • Familiarity with RECIST, Lugano, IMWG, IWCLL, and/or ELN criteria as relevant
  • Strong understanding of oncology and haematology endpoints including ORR, DoR, PFS, OS, and MRD
  • Experience evaluating dose escalation, DLTs, dose modification, and adverse-event attribution
  • Hands-on experience reviewing protocols, investigator brochures, CSRs, safety narratives, or DSMB/IDMC materials
  • Strong benefit-risk analysis and clinical-reasoning skills
  • Previous medical-monitoring or oncology/haematology medical-director experience is highly valuable
  • IDMC, DSMB, adjudication, independent-review, publication, or clinical-trial manuscript experience is advantageous
  • Excellent written communication and ability to explain complex clinical reasoning clearly
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

Engagement Details

  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Compensation: $160–$200/hour
  • Work will involve oncology and haematology clinical-trial evaluation, efficacy and safety assessment, response criteria, CTCAE grading, endpoint analysis, benefit-risk review, regulatory-document evaluation, and structured clinical reasoning
  • Assignments may involve CSRs, protocols, investigator brochures, safety narratives, DSMB/IDMC materials, regulatory correspondence, and patient-level clinical scenarios
  • Structured written explanations for non-clinical audiences will form an important part of the work
  • Project scope, workload, therapeutic areas, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
  • Work must be completed without using confidential, proprietary, or identifiable patient information belonging to any employer, sponsor, healthcare organisation, research institution, patient, or other third party
