Role Description
We are seeking a California-licensed, Board-Certified Medical Doctor (MD) to join our growing telehealth practice as an independent 1099 contractor. This is a fully remote opportunity offering flexible scheduling and the ability to provide high-quality patient care through a virtual platform. The ideal candidate will be experienced in outpatient care, comfortable providing services through telemedicine, and committed to patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and follow-up care through telehealth.

Assess patient conditions, develop appropriate treatment plans, and monitor progress.

Review patient medical histories, medications, and relevant clinical information.

Order or recommend appropriate laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, referrals, and treatments when clinically indicated.

Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical judgment and applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records.

Communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up recommendations.

Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable federal and California healthcare regulations.

Participate in quality improvement and clinical compliance activities as required.
Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Board certification in an applicable medical specialty.

Active and unrestricted California medical license.

Eligible to practice medicine through telehealth in California.

Current DEA registration, if prescribing controlled substances is part of the role.

Current professional liability/malpractice insurance or willingness to obtain coverage as required.

Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health records.

Previous telemedicine experience is preferred but not required.
