[Hiring] Head of Industry - Healthcare & Dental @Birdeye

Role Description

Patient discovery moved. Families now ask ChatGPT and Gemini where to take a parent, and patients search before they schedule. That means a health system's visibility is decided at the location level, by reviews, listings, and local content, not by the homepage. Most systems have no strategy for that channel and no idea which of their locations are invisible in it.

Then the demand they do earn dies at the front desk. Calls go unanswered, screening is inconsistent, and access to care becomes a staffing problem nobody can hire their way out of.

Those two problems are one story. Product marketing sits at the center of how Birdeye builds and ships AI coworkers. Our product PMMs own what each coworker does. This role owns what it means for a health system or a dental group, and makes sure the market hears it.

• The healthcare and dental narrative: Positioning and messaging for every buyer in the room.
• Healthcare go-to-market: Every public asset for healthcare and dental.
• Thought leadership: Make Birdeye the voice on AI visibility and patient access in healthcare.
• Proof and evangelists: Build the cleared healthcare and dental proof library.
• The compliance conversation: Move compliance from a late-stage blocker to an early-stage differentiator.
• Competitive intelligence: Know the point solutions that only show up in healthcare.
• Field readiness: Talk tracks, discovery questions, ROI framing, and objection handling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in B2B product or industry marketing, with meaningful time in healthcare, dental, or health tech.
• Understanding of how health systems and dental groups buy: committees, security review, procurement, pilots.
• Experience as the public voice of a vertical: speaking, writing, and analyst or press conversations.
• Experience writing for a regulated buyer and knowledge of where the guardrails sit.
• Clear writer, strong presenter; clarity comes from simplicity.
• Comfortable with data and honest about it.
• Hands-on with AI agents; ability to explain what a coworker does on a live call.
• Bonus: patient access, revenue cycle, EHR or PMS ecosystem experience, or multi-location marketing at scale.
