[Hiring] Email & SMS Marketing Specialist @Mode Mobile

Role Description

We're looking for an AI-native Email & SMS Marketing Specialist to own the day-to-day execution and growth of owned-channel messaging across the Mode.Inc portfolio. You'll run recurring newsletters, build the automated journeys that turn new subscribers into engaged subscribers, and treat email and SMS as revenue channels rather than announcement channels.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You'll own the briefing, planning, and execution of the end-to-end email process, work across content, creative, product, and data teams, and build in CleverTap and beehiiv. It's also a role with real impact: You’ll be standing up and scaling new newsletters for brands like NGL and Trimbox. We want someone who wants to build, not just follow a plan. This role will report directly to the Director of Media Operations.

We expect you to build AI into how these programs run, including copy generation, segmentation, performance analysis, and the automation of recurring daily sends.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing, preferably in finance, gaming, or consumer products.
• AI-native: You don't just use AI to write quick copy; you use it to automate workflows, build lightweight processes, and scale daily newsletter sends.
• Hands-on experience designing and building automated flows (welcome series, post-purchase, re-engagement) including the segmentation and trigger logic behind them.
• Data-fluent: Able to pull and interpret performance data independently, identify trends, and act on them. Proficient in Excel.
• Creative: You bring ideas, want to try new things, and move the ball forward rather than waiting for a brief.
• Highly organized and skilled in time management, with the reliability to hit a daily send window.
• Team player with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, strong written and verbal communication, and a creative problem-solving instinct.

Requirements

• Experience with CleverTap, beehiiv, or a comparable enterprise email/SMS platform.
• Demonstrable experience starting an email newsletter from scratch and growing it.
• Email and/or SMS monetization experience; affiliate marketing experience.
• Experience warming up email domains and managing deliverability at scale.
• Design background or hands-on design ability.
• Experience managing a recurring daily newsletter.
