Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Account Manager / Customer Success Manager to manage a portfolio of clients and act as the key link between clients and the internal digital marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong SEO experience and enjoys working directly with clients. You will be responsible for customer onboarding, building strong client relationships, understanding their business objectives and ensuring campaigns and deliverables remain aligned with their goals. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple client accounts and ideally come from an agency environment where they have worked across a high volume of clients. The role will initially commence at approximately 20 hours per week for the first 1 to 2 months before progressing to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts and serve as their primary point of contact
• Manage the customer onboarding process for new clients
• Confidently manage 10+ client onboardings per month alongside existing accounts
• Build strong long term client relationships and maintain regular communication
• Lead client meetings, onboarding calls, campaign updates and quarterly catch ups
• Understand each client's business objectives and translate these into clear marketing priorities
• Coordinate with internal digital marketing teams with a strong focus on SEO
• Monitor campaign performance and communicate results clearly to clients
• Prepare and present performance reports with insights and recommendations
• Manage client expectations, timelines and deliverables
• Liaise between clients and internal specialists to keep projects moving
• Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and overall client outcomes
• Proactively address client concerns and resolve issues before they escalate
• Support client retention, satisfaction and account growth
• Maintain accurate client information, campaign updates and communication within the CRM or project management system

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of SEO agency experience
• Previous experience in Digital Marketing Account Management, Customer Success or Client Services
• Strong understanding of SEO strategy, performance and reporting
• Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Confident communicating directly with clients through email, video calls, meetings and presentations
• Ability to understand marketing data and explain performance in a simple and commercially relevant way
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Experience coordinating with internal marketing or creative teams
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach to client management

Working Hours and Role Structure

This is a full time contractor role with a structured ramp up period. The successful candidate will initially work approximately 20 hours per week for the first 1 to 2 months before progressing to 40 hours per week. Once full time, the set working hours will be 10:00am to 6:00pm Australian time with the required AEST or AWST overlap depending on business requirements.
