[Hiring] Community Manager @OpenArt AI

1mth ago - OpenArt AI is hiring a remote Community Manager. πŸ’Έ Salary: unspecified πŸ“Location: Worldwide

Role Description

We're looking for an X Community & Growth Manager to take OpenArt's presence on X (formerly Twitter) from 0 to 100. This is not a role where you simply schedule posts, reply to mentions, and keep the account ticking over. We want someone who can build a growth channel from scratch.

You'll own X end-to-end: our main account, our presence across the wider AI and creator side of the platform, content, experiments, community programs, organic distribution, user acquisition, and the feedback loop between X and our product team. Your goal is simple: make OpenArt impossible to ignore on X.

What You'll Own

  • Turn X Into a Growth Channel
    • Own the strategy, execution, and results for X.
    • Build OpenArt's X presence from the ground up.
    • Grow our account into a genuine hub for AI creators.
    • Set ambitious weekly and monthly growth goals.
    • Run experiments across content, distribution, community programs, and acquisition.
    • Find repeatable ways to turn X conversations into followers, OpenArt users, and advocates.
    • Track what drives impressions, engagement, follower growth, traffic, and signups.
    • Double down quickly when something works and kill experiments that don't.
  • Build a Community People Actually Want to Join
    • Create recurring formats, challenges, showcases, threads, Spaces, competitions, and community programs.
    • Find ways to get OpenArt users sharing their work and workflows organically.
    • Turn great community contributions into moments worth sharing, including quote posts and reposts that give creators real visibility.
    • Identify and support highly active accounts who can become long-term community advocates.
    • Develop systems that increase participation and retention as the audience grows.
    • Manage replies, mentions, and DMs without making it feel corporate.
  • Win Beyond Our Own Account
    • Spend significant time understanding what people are already talking about across AI, video, filmmaking, design, advertising, and creator circles on X.
    • Find conversations where OpenArt can genuinely add value.
    • Participate as a real member of the community, not as a brand account dropping links.
    • Spot discussions, memes, formats, and topics before they become obvious.
    • Build relationships with creators, power users, large accounts, and community leaders.
    • Identify organic opportunities to introduce OpenArt without forcing the product into conversations.
    • Understand what earns attention on X and what gets ignored.
  • Experiment Constantly
    • Help write the X playbook for an AI company growing at our pace.
    • Test various strategies and formats to find what works best.
    • Generate ideas independently, launch experiments quickly, measure results, and turn winning experiments into repeatable systems.
  • Be Our Eyes and Ears on X
    • Track what people are saying about OpenArt.
    • Understand why users love or dislike specific features.
    • Monitor recurring complaints and feature requests.
    • Keep an eye on what people say about competing AI products.
    • Identify new AI tools, models, workflows, and use cases gaining attention.
    • Turn insights into clear, useful information for our product, growth, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • Understand X deeply, including its culture, humor, subcultures, unwritten rules, and what people on X immediately recognize as marketing.
  • Have experience growing communities, audiences, social accounts, or organic acquisition channels.
  • Think in terms of growth, not just content.
  • Are highly experimental and comfortable trying ideas that might fail.
  • Write excellent, natural English and know how to sound like a person rather than a corporate account.
  • Understand generative AI and actively keep up with the space.
  • Move quickly without needing constant direction.
  • Take ownership when something isn't working instead of waiting for someone else to fix it.
  • Can go from an idea to execution without weeks of planning.
  • Have a 0-to-100 mindset.

Even Better If You

  • Have personally grown an X account or an X Community.
  • Have built an online community from zero.
  • Have grown an organic channel with measurable traffic or user acquisition.
  • Use or know about AI image or video creation tools.
  • Understand X search, how the algorithm surfaces posts, and how X content gets found outside X.
  • Have worked with creators, ambassadors, affiliates, or UGC programs.
  • Know how to analyze community and content performance.
  • Can create simple memes, graphics, GIFs, or videos yourself.
  • Use AI to move faster.

How We'll Measure Success

  • OpenArt's X following grows consistently month over month.
  • Weekly engaged accounts and meaningful discussions increase.
  • Community members start creating conversations without us prompting them.
  • OpenArt becomes increasingly visible across the AI and creator side of X.
  • X becomes a measurable source of traffic and new OpenArt users.
  • Community programs create repeat participation and UGC.
  • We build a network of advocates who genuinely like talking about OpenArt.
  • Insights from X regularly influence our marketing and product decisions.
  • You find at least a few growth tactics that work well enough to scale.

Why OpenArt

This is a high-ownership role at a fast-growing AI company in Silicon Valley. You'll have room to build, test, fail, learn, and move quickly. You won't be handed a rigid calendar and asked to execute someone else's ideas. You'll work directly with a team that ships constantly and expects marketing to move at the same speed. If you want a role where everything is already figured out, this probably isn't it. If you like taking something at 0, figuring out what works, and taking it to 100, we want to hear from you.
