[Hiring] Senior Counsel, Government & Commercial @Amwell

Role Description

We're looking for a practical, business-minded attorney to join Amwell's Legal team as Senior Legal Counsel. The heart of this role is federal commercial contracting and compliance—you'll be our go-to person for prime contracts, subcontracts, flow-down requirements, and the program compliance obligations that come with doing business with the government. From that foundation, you'll also get plenty of variety:

• Lead federal government contracting.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Be a trusted advisor to the business.
• Support RFI/RFP responses.
• Help us stay compliant.
• Support employment matters.
• Lend a hand on disputes and litigation.
• Collaborate across the company.

Qualifications

• A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active, good-standing membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Six to ten or more years of relevant legal experience, including meaningful commercial contracting work.
• Strong experience with federal, state, or local government contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating a range of agreements.
• Sound, practical judgment.
• Comfort with ambiguity.
• Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail.
• Clear, friendly written and verbal communication.
• A collaborative spirit.

Requirements

• A T1 public trust clearance (or eligibility for one).
• Familiarity with healthcare technology, digital health, telehealth, health plans, providers, privacy, or data security.
