Role Description

We are seeking experienced Legal & Compliance Experts to contribute to an AI training project by designing realistic, multi-step legal and compliance tasks with objective grading criteria. The role involves transforming real-world legal workflows into structured benchmark tasks that evaluate AI systems' reasoning, judgment, and accuracy. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design multi-step tasks based on real legal and compliance workflows, including contract review, due diligence, regulatory assessments, and risk analysis.
• Develop clear instructions and objective grading criteria to ensure consistent evaluation.
• Create tasks that require legal judgment, careful document interpretation, and analytical reasoning rather than simple information lookup.
• Prepare supporting materials, including agreements, policy documents, regulatory texts, and due diligence files.
• Identify ambiguous or ungradable tasks and refine them before submission.
• Deliver high-quality, approved tasks within project deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in contract review, due diligence, regulatory compliance, or risk management.
• Experience developing or applying structured review standards, compliance frameworks, due diligence protocols, playbooks, or training assessments.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies across multiple documents.
• A law degree and bar admission, or an equivalent compliance qualification, is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency (B2 minimum; C1 preferred).
• Experience with AI or LLM evaluation is a plus but not required.

Requirements

• Engagement: Project-based, with payment per approved task.
• Compensation: Up to $90/hour equivalent.
• Estimated Time: Approximately 10 hours per task.
• Work Mode: Fully remote, with no geographic restrictions.
• Language Requirement: B2-level English minimum; C1 preferred.
