Role Description

Are you a talented assessment professional who is passionate about apprenticeships and delivering assessments to the highest possible standards? If so, this is the role for you. CILEX is recruiting Independent Assessors to conduct End-Point Assessment for the Level 3 Paralegal End-Point Assessment.

The EPA comprises two assessment methods:

• Professional Discussion underpinned by Portfolio
• Project Report and Presentation with Q&A

You will be responsible for conducting end-point assessment for Paralegal apprentices, ensuring that apprentices receive a high-quality assessment experience and accurate, fair and timely results.

This is a flexible role, working from home, that you can fit around your commitments. It provides an opportunity to use your experience of working in the legal sector in a different way. Qualifications

• Recent relevant experience of the Paralegal occupation or legal sector to at least occupational level 3 gained in the last 3 years or significant experience of the occupation or sector
• A legal qualification at Level 4 or above
• Experience of assessing competence

Requirements

• Review apprentices' portfolios and produce questions for the Professional Discussion in accordance with CILEX requirements and criteria
• Conduct Professional Discussions in accordance with CILEX requirements
• Mark apprentices' reports and presentations and produce questions for the Q&A in accordance with CILEX requirements and criteria
• Conduct Presentations with Q&A in accordance with CILEX requirements
• Grade assessments making a judgement on the competency of the apprentice in accordance with the CILEX grading criteria and requirements
• Produce constructive feedback for apprentices in accordance with CILEX requirements
• Attend and contribute to standardisation and assessor training activities
