Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Consumer Product Safety Attorney to support regulatory initiatives and contribute legal expertise to AI training and evaluation projects. The role involves:

• Reviewing and analyzing product safety laws, regulations, and standards across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drafting, editing, and evaluating regulatory compliance documents and legal materials.
• Providing written feedback on product safety case studies and compliance scenarios.
• Assessing compliance strategies and recommending improvements or risk mitigation measures.
• Translating complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance.
• Identifying compliance gaps and explaining their legal implications.
• Developing structured legal content for AI training and evaluation datasets.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree, preferably focused on product safety, consumer protection, or regulatory compliance.
• Significant experience with federal, state, and international product safety regulations, including CPSC, EU directives, and FDA requirements.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience drafting and reviewing legal opinions, compliance policies, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt to project requirements.
• Interest in emerging AI technologies is an advantage.
