Role Description

Liftoff is looking for a Commercial Legal Counsel that will assist the in-house legal department with Insertion Orders (Agreements), third party contracts and other legal needs. This position will support the Commercial, Finance and Accounting teams, located around the world.

As a Commercial Legal Counsel at Liftoff, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of contracts that drive our business forward. You will be at the intersection of legal expertise, meticulous organization, and collaborative teamwork. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, and licensing agreements, to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including legal, sales/commercial, product, engineering, finance, and accounting to understand contract terms, resolve issues, and provide guidance on contractual matters.
• Maintaining an organized and up-to-date contract ticketing system, responding to each contract ticket in a timely manner and tracking contract milestones and deadlines.
• Assisting in contract compliance, addressing any deviations or breaches.
• Assisting in the development and improvement of contract templates and standard clauses.
• Supporting the contract approval process, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
• Providing guidance and training to employees on contract-related matters and best practices.
• Staying updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting contract management.

Qualifications

• 5-10 Years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Law, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Contracts Counsel/Legal Counsel or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in contract management software or tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment globally.
• Prior experience in ad-tech is a plus.

Requirements

• This position is based in London or remotely within the United Kingdom, occasionally going into the office.
• This position is a contract position with the potential to become a full-time employee.
• The expected hours of work required for this position are 35 to 40 hours per week, with occasional early evening hours for team meetings, as the manager is located in our Redwood City office in California.
