[Hiring] Commercial Contracts Manager @Axiom Talent Platform

Role Description

Axiom is seeking an experienced contracts manager to support our client, a leading telecommunications provider, who is looking for a Commercial Contracts Manager to support its commercial business. The role will focus on preparing, reviewing, and negotiating customer agreements, and providing practical commercial and contractual guidance to stakeholders.

• Draft, review and negotiate customer contracts, including standard and bespoke agreements, variations, promotional letters, notices, novations, settlements and terminations.
• Ensure contracts align with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the organisation’s policies and approval processes.
• Provide first-level contractual and commercial guidance to the wholesale business, escalating legal issues to the Legal team where appropriate.
• Identify and manage operational, legal, financial and credit risks in customer agreements.
• Work with regulatory colleagues on strategic, operational and technical compliance matters affecting the business.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and support commercially sound decisions and effective risk management.
• Help maintain and improve contract governance processes, tracking agreements from request and drafting through to signing.

Qualifications

• JD is beneficial but not required.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, managing legal risk, and supporting compliance and governance.
• Experience in private practice or as in-house legal counsel is highly regarded.
• The ability to prepare bespoke legal and commercial terms where established precedents are not available.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commercial judgement and an understanding of business priorities.
