[Hiring] Commercial Contracts Consultant @Eudia Counsel

Role Description

Our client, a global technology company, is seeking an exceptional Commercial Counsel to join its growing Commercial Legal team in APAC. You will be a strategic legal partner to the sales teams, supporting complex deal negotiations and commercial activity that fuels the client’s expansion with leading APAC companies and organisations across all market segments, from SMB to large enterprise. In this high-impact role, you will guide sophisticated technology transactions across diverse industries and client sizes, and give strategic counsel on the legal and regulatory considerations for responsible AI deployment throughout the APAC region.

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, with a primary focus on go-to-market (GTM) and sales transactions in APAC, including enterprise customer contracts.
• Partner closely with Sales and GTM teams to support deal velocity and provide practical legal guidance.
• Help build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure, including contract templates, playbooks and process improvements.
• Identify and escalate legal risks appropriately while supporting business momentum.
• Stay current on legal developments affecting AI technologies.
• Build relationships with external stakeholders across APAC, including clients of all sizes, regulatory bodies and industry partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ PQE.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, such as enterprise customer contracts or SaaS agreements.
• Exposure to commercial contracts, SaaS agreements or technology transactions.
• Strong legal writing skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts for non-lawyer audiences.
• In-house experience at leading technology companies with APAC operations.
• Experience with AI, machine learning or other emerging technologies in commercial contexts.
• Experience supporting sales teams across diverse client segments in deal negotiations.
• Experience navigating multi-stakeholder agreements involving technical and policy considerations.
• Curiosity about AI technology and AI policy, and a commitment to responsible AI development.
• A collaborative, low-ego approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed.
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
