Role Description

The Infrastructure Security SME is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in the security architectural design and implementation of new IT Infrastructure in a new campus. Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage highly complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience.

• Technical expertise centered around IT Security, implementation, and architecture for an enterprise environment.
• Specialization in technical security environment for new building construction.
• Successful development and maintenance of:
  • Formal strategies
  • Sourcing guidance
  • Technical standards
  • Blueprints
  • Reference architectures
  • Architecture patterns
  • Technology roadmaps for technical security domain
• Successful completion of technology projects within area of security implementations.
• Definition and management of team structure and resource levels to support business needs for the overall environment.
• Conducting industry and market research of technologies and general themes in assigned architecture areas.
• Engaging agency subject matter experts, business liaisons, and DIT representatives to ensure proper alignment between business and IT within Security discipline.
• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team to accomplish design and implementation objectives for new infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to identify and communicate IT Security needs for new infrastructure in new building(s) - Required - 10 Years
• Must be able to successfully design all security needs for the new infrastructure Architecture - Required - 10 Years
• Experience installing security Technologies throughout new environment - Required - 10 Years
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment - Required - 10 Years
• Must be able to identify and communicate all IT Security needs to all audiences, both technical and non-technical - Required - 10 Years
