Role Description

The Informatics Solutions Engineer will provide programming and technical support for clinical application systems with development and maintenance of projects. This will include support of programs and systems related to the electronic health record and other clinical applications and software that support clinical care. This role has a commitment to clinical staff and departments, as well as across the Health Informatics and Technology (HIT) division and the Information Technology (IT) department to provide clear communication, collaboration and expertise in the technical aspects of software management.

• Provides technical support to HIT analysts.
• Leads small projects and/or technology initiatives through all phases of systems development including planning, development, implementation, and operation for complex computer projects.
• Creates and updates system documentation including diagrams, technical schema, and project-related documents.
• Works with the Senior Directors of HIT to keep them aware of changes or updates to the software systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics or related degree and 3-5 years experience in the support, development, and management of Healthcare IT.
• HS diploma or equivalent or associates degree and 7 or more years experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
• CPHIMS (HIMSS) Preferred.
• At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership). Preferred.

Requirements

• Must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005.
• Must supply immunization records as proof of vaccination if selected for the position.
• Medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

• Starting Pay: The pay range for this job begins at $37.71/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
• This position is entirely remote or work-from-home, but the person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
