Role Description

We’re hiring for roles where the best candidates aren’t looking, and many have never considered crypto. You’ll own full-cycle recruiting for our hardest engineering searches. That means Rust and backend engineers for our streaming, database, and edge gateway teams, platform and bare-metal infrastructure engineers, and technical roles that face developers. You’ll report to the VP of People and partner directly with Helius’s Engineering leadership. Most of your work will be engineering hiring. As a lean company, you’ll also flex to support other functions when the business needs it.

What You'll Do

• Own a portfolio of senior and staff-level searches end to end, from intake through signed offer.
• Partner directly with Engineering leadership to define success profiles and calibrate on level, and push back when a req or a profile isn’t right.
• Build outbound pipelines into infrastructure, cloud, devtools, and data companies.
• Source from both large-scale infrastructure companies and fast-moving startups, because our best hires often have both on their résumé.
• Spot high-trajectory engineers, not just impressive titles.
• Sell the engineering problem, not the token.
• Run a structured, high-signal interview process in Ashby that moves fast without lowering the bar.
• Run the closing process end to end, including bringing in founders and investors at the right moments.
• Turn our referral program into a consistent source of hire by mining the team’s networks.
• Own our agency relationships and decide where in-house sourcing beats them.
• Track pipeline health and conversion by stage, and use the data to fix bottlenecks.
• Help build our talent brand with engineers through outreach, content, and representing Helius at engineering events and conferences (occasional travel).

Your First 90 Days

• Take over our highest-priority search: a database and performance engineer for one of our core data teams.
• Learn our engineering org well enough to pitch every open role in your own words.
• Build an outbound pipeline that doesn’t depend on agencies or inbound.
• Audit our interview process and funnel data, and bring back what you’d change.

Qualifications

• 5+ years recruiting engineers, with a track record of closing senior and staff-level backend, infrastructure, or systems roles.
• Strong sourcing instincts. You enjoy the hunt and have your own playbook for finding people who aren’t on the market.
• Technical fluency. You don’t need to code, but you can talk distributed systems, databases, and performance with engineers without losing them.
• Startup or high-growth experience where you were expected to move fast and get it right.
• The confidence to push back on hiring managers and drive alignment.
• Clear, direct communication and real follow-through.
• A bias for action and ownership of outcomes, not just activity.

Nice to Have

• Experience recruiting at an infrastructure, devtools, cloud, or trading-technology company.
• A network in the Rust or systems engineering community.
• Experience with Ashby and AI-assisted sourcing tools.
